A quick update: We're currently working on the writing for what we hope to be a spring 09' release (full length album).  John has completed the writing for three new tunes - The River, Saving Grace, and Will You Ever - with more to come.

Hello!  Guess what, it's summertime and you know what that means...   really, what does that mean?  Anyway, there is a new video up in our "Media" section under videos, it's a little sampler of our show in Columbia, SC at the Art Bar and I believe we'll have another up shortly.  Also, there is a new page under the "Forum" section called "Pointless."  And, it most assuredly is.  But, if you'd like to see some random non-Autonomous things, it's the place to be.  

Well, a lot has happen in the last few months!  In February we played a few shows in VA and SC which were a really good time.  A big thanks to everyone that came out and we should have some video up of those shows soon, go to the gallery it check out pictures from the Art Bar show.  In March Autonomous offically packed up and moved out of Columbia for Seattle, WA.  To all those who helped on the drive across the country, thanks!  So far things are going well in Seattle, and John has already dug into the task of writing a new album.  We're hoping to make this next album a big one and are trying to get the writing and pre-production finished by the year's end.  We'll do our best and keep you up to date with what's going on.  But, for more frequent updates on the album and life in general, visit John's blog.

Hello everyone!  It has been a looooong time, babies have been born, people have been married, and fortunately we at Autonomous have been a part of neither (Not that those things are bad).  Hopefully all is well and you have all won the lottery.  

There are a lot of things brewing for Autonomous and John for that matter, the biggest of which is a relocation coming in a few months to Seattle.  No set date yet, but as things start to solidify we will keep you updated.  If you know anyone in the Seattle area please spread the word.  

John has been playing out solo and there are more dates coming in.  These dates will not be posted on this website, but hopefully he will have a Myspace page up by November strictly dedicated to his solo acoustic shows and other musical endeavors.  We'll break the rules just this once, so you know he has a show coming up soon at Dixie's Tavern in Greenville, SC on October 25th @ 6pm.  

As for full band Autonomous shows, something is in the works for a couple of shows in SC and VA late January before the move.  Definitely keep an eye on the calendar for those shows.  

John has been working on a lot of new material and hopes to begin pre-production for a new album in the next few months.  It is a long process, but it could mean a new album in late 08'.  We will certainly keep you in the know as that progresses.
